Privatt Vault

Your files. Your keys. Your cloud, if you want it.

Store and organize sensitive files with a key model you choose. Use Privatt-hosted Canadian storage or connect Google Drive or OneDrive, then export whenever you want.

  • Three clear key-custody choices
  • Resumable uploads from any browser
  • Straightforward export with no lock-in
Your vault: folders and files with search, and a malware scan status on every file. Client-encrypted files stay unreadable to Privatt.
  • Choose who holds the keys

Pick the privacy and recovery trade-off that fits you before you add a file.

  • Choose where files live

Use Privatt-hosted Canadian storage, Google Drive, or OneDrive.

  • Keep your way out

Export your data or disconnect your cloud storage whenever you decide.

Control starts with the key

Choose who can open your vault.

The recommended two-key vault needs both your passphrase and Privatt's key. Device-only mode keeps the key entirely with you. Managed mode prioritizes easy recovery and malware scanning, which means Privatt can read those files.

We make that trade-off explicit before your first upload, because every encryption promise depends on who holds the key.

Compare the encryption modes

This decides whether Privatt can ever read your vault.

  • Two-key vault Recommended Strongest Like a bank safe-deposit box, opening your vault takes two keys: yours (your passphrase) and Privatt's. Neither of us can open it alone, so stolen data is worthless without both. You keep a passphrase and a one-time recovery key.
  • Your devices only Most private Your key comes from a passphrase only you know, so Privatt can never read your vault. You enter your passphrase on each device and keep a one-time recovery key.
  • Managed by Privatt Easiest We hold your key, so you sign in from any device with nothing extra to remember and no risk of locking yourself out. Because we hold the key, Privatt can read your files (and scan them for malware); this option isn't zero-knowledge.
Vault setup asks one plain question: who holds your keys? The two-key vault is the recommended default; neither you nor Privatt can open it alone.

A vault on your terms

Make the important choices first. The rest feels familiar.

Vault puts storage and key custody up front, then gives you the everyday file tools you already know.

  1. 1

    Choose storage

Keep encrypted files with Privatt in Canada or connect Google Drive or OneDrive.

  2. 2

    Choose key custody

Select two-key, device-only, or managed encryption with the trade-offs stated plainly.

  3. 3

    Upload and organize

Add files, create folders, search by name, and pick up interrupted uploads where they stopped.

Private, not primitive

Secure storage should still feel like modern storage.

The privacy model is different. The work of keeping files organized does not have to be.

Storage choice

Your cloud or ours

Keep encrypted files on Privatt-hosted Canadian infrastructure or in cloud storage you already control.

  • Privatt Canada
  • Google Drive
  • OneDrive

Organization

Folders that stay useful

Create a structure that matches your work and search by name when you need something quickly.

Resilience

Uploads that resume

When a connection drops, a large upload can continue from where it stopped instead of starting over.

No lock-in

Leaving is a product feature

Export your data and take it with you. Disconnect your cloud storage when you choose, without asking permission.

When information needs to move

Keep with Vault. Share with Send.

Send confidential information to anyone, with no Privatt account required to receive it. Messages are encrypted in the browser, unlocked with a passphrase you share separately, and expire on your schedule.
